Character modeling

Taking a break from drawing, and this was the result. I also hope to make a cuddly toy, with fabric that I have designed and screenprinted in the not so distant future.

There Was an Old person Of Dutton....

There was an old person of Dutton
who's head was so small as a button
so to make it look big he purchased a wig
and rapidly rushed about Dutton

One of the great rhymes by Edward Lear. This is the product of being stuck on actual work, and drawing the first thing that came to mind...hence the hilariously sized arm. But now I hope to make a small book of about nine or ten of similar drawings.

Miroslav Sasek

I have always been a big fan of Sasek's, and I particularly love his series of children's books about cities around the world. The image below is an ace image of Victoria street, one of my favorite streets in Edinburgh. I'm definately going to add some of these books to my Christmas wish list.
